How to Prepare for Aptitude Test at KPMG for Articleship

Clearing both groups of IPCC in attempt is definitely a proud feeling it itself. But the race doesnt end here. There is lot more on your way which you have to beat.

And one such crucial stage is "The Search for Articleship"

Everyone wants BIG 4 be it PWC, KPMG, EY or DELLOITE.

But the moot question here is- How to get Big 4? Obviously it's no child's play to get into Big 4, but at the same time it doesn't involve any rocket science as well that one cannot get good Big 4.

Me, like every CA Student, is very tensed for Articleship these days.

Even without any reference, these Big Names have an Online Portal which can be accessed by anyone and on which we can upload our resume for their ready reference.

You need to apply online on their official sites under the careers section.

As soon as there will be vacancies you will be contacted by them for sure.

In this article I will be discussing about the Articleship Procedure of KPMG.

So for KPMG you have 5 rounds in all:-
1. Aptitude test
2. Group discussion
3. HR interview
4. Technical round
5. Partner round

APTITUDE TEST

The moment a CA student hears this word, what strikes to his/her mind is 'What does he need to prepare for this?'
Well, this is a test just to check your basic knowledge and it is an Objective test. There are 3 sections in it namely:-
1. General English (20 ques.):
In this section, there will be general word meanings, rearranging the sentences, and an unseen passage. This section is to check how well versed the student is with the English language.
2. Quantitative aptitude (20 ques.):
This section is all about mathematics and calculations. Basic formulas read up till 10th needs to be recalled.
Indiabix is the website where such type of questions can be practiced.
3. Accounting, Tax and Auditing (40 ques.):
This is the last section. Going through the limits for calculating tax, deductions, SAs, AS and you are ready.

We are given 45 mins approximately and there are 80 questions which need to be answered. One thing to be kept in mind is TIME MANAGEMENT. The good thing is that there is no negative marking so go on for attempting all the questions.

Criterion to clear this level is:
Student needs to score 60% in total and 60% in the individual sections as well.

It’s easy to crack this aptitude test. All you need to do is just believe in yourself and do not panic. 80 questions and 45 mins might sound impossible to some but NO this can be done, I did it and I had time to revise even and that’s how I cleared my aptitude test at KPMG.
