Shall I go for revaluation?

Hello everyone in this post we will be discussing whether one should go for revaluation/verification of answer sheets.

First of all you must understand that revaluation and verification are different from disclosure and inspection of Answer Sheets.

Under revaluation/verification following things will be checked.

• Whether the answer book(s) compilation is complete.
• Whether any question or part thereof has remained unvalued.
• Whether there is any totaling error in any question or total marks on the cover page.
• Whether there is any discrepancy between the marks for each question and or/part thereof and marks for each question indicated on the cover page of the answer book.
• Whether the handwriting of the candidate in all the answer books is the same.

2.    Till what time I can expect my result of revaluation/verification.

There is no compulsory time limit only suggestive time limit is there. My advice is please don’t wait for it. Keep your preparation for your exams going without any expectation from the same.

3.    Kuch faayda hota hai kya?

Yes, If we talk about benefit in January 2012, then,

around 300 CA final students from all over the country cleared either a group or both groups in the Final ICAI Examination after they applied for retotalling. A student who got 7% in a subject cleared the test after his paper was retotalled, with at least 33 marks added when the paper was checked again by evaluators. 

Giving revaluation/verification is very easy. And I think one must go for it for sure. If you think your marks are less than you expected. You must go for it.

Time limit is 30 days from the date of announcement of results (It was announced on 21^st August, 2014)
